I’m Azita Mohammadkarimi, and I truly believe that no child should ever have to carry the unresolved wounds of generations before them. This belief comes from my own lived experience: I grew up in a family marked by deep chaos, blurred boundaries, and the painful realities of emotional and physical abuse. I know what it feels like to be a child trying to survive in an unsafe environment.
But for many years now, I have chosen to be the one who breaks that cycle — not just for myself, but for the thousands of parents and children I’ve had the privilege to stand beside.
Azita Attachment School is my vision and my calling:
a safe space for parents who want to consciously break unhealthy patterns, build strong and secure connections with their children, and create a safer, healthier future for the next generation.
My Vision
At this school, we believe that when parents feel supported and empowered, they become the strongest circle of safety, growth, and love for their children.
Our ultimate goal is to help prevent the emotional and social harm that can pass down through families — so every child can grow up feeling worthy, secure, and confident in who they are.
My Professional Path
– Master’s degree in Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychology from Shahid Beheshti University (Iran)
– PhD in General Psychology (Azerbaijan)
– Specialist and psychodynamic therapist for children and teens
– Therapist for adults, practicing Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP)
– Over 10 years of specialized training and education in child sexual abuse prevention, in Iran and internationally
– Lead facilitator for the national project “Safe Parent Facilitator Training” for three consecutive years in Iran
– Parent coach and trainer in communication skills and family mental health prevention strategies
– Author of “Let’s Prevent” — a book on preventing child and teen sexual abuse
– Translator of “Self-Compassion for Parents”, supporting parents in building kinder relationships with themselves and their children
– Experience supporting and educating thousands of Iranian parents, both inside Iran and across diaspora communities worldwide
My Belief
We cannot change our past — but we can choose not to pass its weight onto the next generation.
My invitation to you is simple: let’s learn together, let’s practice together, and let’s end these old cycles — for good.
Be the one who ends the cycle of harm.
With respect and hope,
Azita Mohammadkarimi
